Okay, Im 21 5'-10" (the perfect height for him) and I think that I could pass off as him fairly well, I've seen a few at Disneyland that didn't look much like him. Here is my pic from my myspace:

I was going to possibly do the Disney College program, and to be considered for a face character you have to audition. There is an audition in Seattle next month, so should I try? Do I tell them that thats who I am interested in playing or let them tell me that. Plus I have no acting or dancing experience though. Advice appreciated.

I definitely think you could. And with hair and makeup anything is possible. My friend did the Disney Program and got to play Mickey Mouse; she loved it. Good luck

I would say you should definitely go for it and try out. Be open to the possibility of other characters, though. They cast by height, and then by ability, so if you get the job you'll most likely be approved to be several characters and not just Jack. They do make you go through an improv acting audition where they ask you things like "what's your favorite ride at DisneyWorld" or "How's Will Turner doing?", and you have to answer like you were actually Jack. Sometimes they ask you to improv as a character (say, Prince Charming, for instance) even if they're considering you for a different character (like Jack). You might want to consider getting together with a friend and going through some of this so you're more prepared. It sounds like you could be great, so Break a Leg!!!

The face characters (characters NOT wearing the big heads) HAVE to be that character the entire time they are on set (ie. in the parks)... vocally, mannerisms, the whole works. Although with the costume and makeup you could easily pass for Jack, without any acting experience could you keep up the character for 30 minutes to an hour at a time?? If you're interested in working for Disney at the parks, go and audition. They may take you as a costumed character (in the big heads) which mainly is all pantomime, as you're not allowed to talk. If you're heart is in being a face character, then get some acting classes under your belt.

i think you've got a good structure for it.. but its even more how well you play the character... vid clips please! haha.

i've heard some pretty rough stories of people that work for disney. But ive also heard good ones too. I guess it depends on how hard you are willing to work. I think some audition to work as characters at disney and just expect it to be fun and not work and are let down. Its a great opportunity though, go for it!!

as for the audition, if you have a set char you want to do, mention it casually, but don't make them think its the only thing you can do. Jack might not be an option, but if you can get in as something else first, you can work your way to jack when its avail.

I'd say you could give it shot. You have the general look. Be careful, My friends have gone though Disney Casting and It is very difficult.

Make sure in your interview you mention everything you are interesting in doing to them. They will then help you explore those area's.
