Bittersweet, I concur that mass poverty is the core problem to be fixed, but saying that the Phils can develop its "orig" system completely on its own is akin to waiting for pigs to start flying. It hasn't happened--for a reason. Also, Korea, Taiwan, Japan and China were, not long ago (no more than 60 years, in fact) impoverished, literally decimated economies--and look at them now. They must be doing something right.Would it be too much to ask Filipinos to study, learn, understand and apply the successful methods employed by their asian neighbors--or are you guys too good for that?

8) Thailand's economic model.
a. Building of infrastructure and communications to link other places both nationally and internationally. Commerce will increase;
b. Strengthening the export market to bring more income to the nation;
c. Improving the quality of education; these are the future leaders;
d. Focusing on tourism. The beauty is already here, the nation just has to preserve and improve the beauty to be enjoyed more. It will increase revenue and encourage other nationalities to invest in the country;
e. Focusing on agriculture. Other Asian countries excel in technology. Let us focus on food and plant supply instead. The soil and weather is conducive for successful agriculture.
And when the nation is strong enough, follow the Singaporean model.
That nation developed corruption-free and without any foreign monetary aid.

Well Korean.
I am not a fan of Korean dramas but I have been in a business dealing with a lot of Koreans for years and I have seen how much they've prospered because of the unity, will, struggle and determination to succeed. It is not one of the top countries but the success is actually fast considering that they experienced a lot of difficulties until the year 1998. Most Koreans are ambitious. They dare to dream although some dreams are not realistic. It's been a part of their culture to dream big and many Korean parents actually are so eager to send their children to school because of the realization that the future is important and that they were deprived of education in the past. They try to be technologically advanced and face global competitions. With this, they go farther.
At least if we change our ways especially our thoughts for the future and our values, we can go farther than any countries in the world.
One more thing is that if at least we're able to recognize what we can benefit from our own resources, we can really go farther... if we don't allow foreign forces for our own resources, we can gain more. In the first place, the Philippine soil belongs to the Filipinos not mining corporations abroad...
Lastly, we must be wise in choosing a candidate that holds everyone's future.
By the way, I just chose Korea as the model but not a country to lead.... Let's be inspired. Lots of them are here for their own future....

The lead that you have online would not be ideal for the Filipinos . And pls. lets us stop the gaya-gaya model . The top 4 countries that you have are basically all chino societies and the rest are western cultures. You have to take in mind that We have a different culture. We are mix of asian and western . This is because of our colonial history . I believe that the best thing that we can do to have an economic model is to focus on the root issues of our country which is poverty. Within poverty lies more issues, rising population,lack of education,crime rates , hunger and corrupt society. We should be able to create a financial model focusing on alleviating poverty. The countries stated above , I think are not experiencing poverty like we are and are more focused on economic growth. We must first sustain a steady economy .

I have my own prescription.
I will disperse the country's economic activities. Each region will have an economic zone, something like an industrial/export zones, so people will not converge in manila anymore and get hungry. Envite foreign companies to set up their businesses with tax holidays and other benefits whenever they hire more than a hundred Filipinos. The industrialization should be partnered with the agriculture. Our farmers too should benefit with the ongoing industrialization. We are blessed with fertile land, so will will tap these resources to the full. Our economy will still be agri based.
Continuing education should be promoted not only among professionals, but to workers as well. I always agree with the ladderized system of education where young students should know basic vocational skills until they get to college. This way, every Filipino will be a prospect of any kind of work there is.
Adopt an early retirement scheme in government. Those who wish to retire early to put up their own business will be assisted by government. Ageing people should not remain long in government serivce.
Screen test those wanting to join government agencies known for corruption. Continue the lifestyle checks and reveal them to public. Take a second look and closer this time,on bidding procedures of agencies with billions of outlays such as DPWH, DepEd, DND. Overhaul the procedures where necessary.
What is the role of the Commission on Audit? They should be given a pro-active role in transactions involving hundreds of millions of funds.
Always give quota to the revenue generating agencies for their collection.
Most of all, we should be accountable to what we are doing.

Selling weapons to Mexican drug purchasers as a way to "turn out" that weapons utilized by Mexican criminals are from the United States, and a outcomes of our lax gun legislation. The day after the assault, they're blaming all of it on a video that NOBODY noticed. Then , they liberate two hundred emails regarding the day. None of the ones emails mentions a video. So the e-mail that every person bought, in charge the video, isn't one of the crucial ones published. IRS Scandal. Charity agencies suspected of being conservative have been particular with nearly not possible quantities of bureaucracy. Some of the questions integrated "do any of the individuals of your organization plan on searching for political workplace", a query which calls for the applicant to foretell the longer term. Another query calls for the applicant to "record the contents of your prayers". It used to be now not simply harassment. It used to be an know-how seize. And of direction, the AP factor. The factor is, among the men and women who vote for Obama DON'T CARE approximately the ones matters. The leisure don''t consider it. As lengthy as there isn't an Evil Republican in workplace, the whole thing is fine.

I'd pick 5.. just as long as it doesn't include a president
like George W. Bush. The system here is okay compared
to some other countries as long as the President isn't a
cowboy without any grasp of how to help his own people.
