Studying any art form teaches creativity because there are no "right" and "wrongs" with art. In learning to master any art form, the student is forced to confront on-going decisions on a daily basis: "If I try it this way, how does that look?" "If I do more of this [spring harder, bring my arms further in, etc], will I get better results?"
Since dance is also a collaborative art form, dancers must learn to work together and problem-solve as a team. You can easily see this struggle in partnering classes. There isn't necessarily a right and wrong way to lift and turn and balance against each other when you're dealing with varying body shapes. There are the general instructions, but then the dancers must adapt them to their own needs.
For this reason, the arts should be an integral part of a school curriculum. And the performing arts, especially, are great for teaching groups of students to work out creative solutions together. Perfect training for any job setting!

Through dance you can express yourself. Whether you're feeling happy or sad, lonely or pensive. Especially in lyrical, you can really put your emotions into your dancing. Also, a lot of dance teams and studios require you to choreograph your own dance, and that definitely makes you more creative. Okay, this is stretching it a bit, but I have written several essays and papers on dancing, and thoses are creative.

Dance is a wonderful way to join your mind and body together is a free and open expression of any feeling you wish.
When you dance some feeling will be 'created' in you, specially for male dancers. Dance is often used as a form of therapy.
Creativity will flow as you begin to match your vision for dance and movement with places, ideas, feelings...
Dance and try......

especially improvisational dance.
learn new ways to move so you can invent
new movements. plus accessing your body
actually creates creativity.
plus learning to concentrate (which dance requires)
helps you be creative esp when you release the concentration
also dance is very "both sides" of the brain
so it is a left and right brain activity
