The west is pretty well set, I think Detroit is going to pop into 1st due to their wimpy schedule and Minnesota will sneak past Vancouver for 3rd. Colorado won't get there.

Nashville, and Anaheim will easily defeat Vancouver and San Jose in this senario. Detroit should beat Calgary as the Flames can't win on the road and the Wings have finally got some grit. The only real nailbiter will be Minnesota and Dallas. I'll pick Minnesota as they have been unstoppable. It'll go to 7 games though.

In the East: What a crap shoot

Buffalo will stay on top and New Jersy 2nd as there is no way the Pens will make a run with the match-ups they have left this year. The Rangers are somewhat healthy again so I think they will sneak in. Toronto will miss as will Montreal. The real upsetter is the Islanders. I think Carolina will fend them off, just because it is embarassing to win the cup one year and miss the play-offs the next.

Buffalo stomps Carolina this time. Atlanta will also win easily. If the Rangers stay healthy I believe they could be the upset and sneak past the Devils. Pittsburgh and Ottawa will be spectacular, with Ottawa's wimpy goaltending bieng their downfall.

Buffalo gets healthy in time to make it to the finals and will meet.... a very nasty Western confrence foe. I guess if I had to pick I'd say Anaheim, but any one of the top four could make it and all of them would give the Sabres fits.

Should be an excellent round, Ducks win in 6. Or Wings in 5, or Nashville in 4, or Wild in 7.

I see Buffalo winning in the East. They just have way too much depth for any of the other teams to match up correctly. The only team that could hope of beating the Sabres would be the Devils. I'll take Buffalo.

In the West, I'll take the hottest team in the NHL, the Minnesota Wild (yes, I'm from MN). A team that 3 goalies that can start, scoring from 3 lines, a great defensive system, #2 penalty kill, #10 power play that's getting better with Gaborik, and Jacques Lemaire. This team is poised to win the West.

In the finals, I'll take Minnesota. The last time Buffalo and Minnesota tangled, the Wild dominated play with sound defense that created turnovers and bad-angle shots for the Sabres. I know, it's a bold prediction. It'll just make me look that great when the Wild win!

nicely in the East they have the Celtics, Cavs, and the Magic 3 great communities! The West does have great communities like the Lakers, Nuggets, and Hornets so particularly the two aspects have great communities in basic terms it rather is greater of a undertaking to get a play off spot in the West. The East might have LeBron, Kevin Garnett, and Dwight Howard. however the West has Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony! we are especially a lot even! the two have undesirable communities (Thunder & Wizards)! =)
