Superman is to this day still my favorite comic book superhero. And we must not be alone--so far, TWO box office films have been made on The Man Of Steel and Krypton's Jo-El, by day posing as mild mannered Daily Planet reporter Clark Kent, still sells comics.
Even death couldn't stop Superman. And isn't it ironic how the first two men to portray Superman have paralleled names? George Reeves and Christopher Reeve? Sadly, both also befell to tragic life events as well.
Superman Returns was good enough for me to buy the CD, but nothing beats that first "WOW!!" I experienced in the 80's when I first saw "Superman: The Movie".

Superman isn't dumb because I collect mostly all of the Supes titles and had to stop because of money from 1999-present. Superman will always be a fan favorite but he can be considered "American" sort of speak due to the fact that he's an alien from another planet. I have great respect for the Man of Steel until he goes against a certain green skin goliath then screw the Man of Steel. Until then Make Mar- or DC wait a moment and I thought this was some kind of comic letter page.

I was the biggest Superman fan ,I still love him I love Smallville I watch it religiously there is a but I don't like what writers have done with him it seems they make his powers fluctuate to much as if it were to keep up with the ever growing number of heroes that are out now.Now don't get me wrong to hear that theme song does something to me,It makes me feel happy to be an american.Superman is an Icon we all grew up calling our dads Superman,And When Christofer reeves died it hurt my heart big time as old as I am I couldn't believe Superman was Gone.He is a legend he is awsome but I just wish somany versions of him didn't come out .He should have stayed the original Pre-crises eventhough some of the new kids on the block have come close to or surpassed that level of power Don't slap me but his complete equal now is his self- inspired Japanese counter part Goku! Please don't say hes a ripoff because every hero that came after supes was inspired by him Son Gokus story went back a little farther .But I love Superman He is the Goat of all heros he is what we as men want to be and want our kids to see us as because just like him we'll move as fast as a speeding bullet just to save them or kiss the occasional knee scrape.Supes still has love from War-Cry Halla!!!

Superman is the second greatest hero of all time, behind Spider-man, and he has the most symbolic history for America. i still love supes. i grew up reading his adventures as told by the great Roger Stern, among others, in the early nineties. and Action Comics, Superman's comic since his creation in 1938 by Jerry Simon and Joe Schuster, is still around. in a few more years, it will become the first comic title to ever reach a thousand issues. so apparently yes, people do still love superman.

No, I still think Superman is great. In this fast and hurried world, we sometimes lose our way. Superman is still the kind of hero we look up to, he is even the kind of hero all the other heroes look up to. He reminds us to be the best that we can be. Maybe we can’t be strong and fast like him, but we can be morally good and kind and patient like him. Forget John Lennon, imagine if everybody emulated Superman that way….

Smallville's a pretty good show. I like how Lex has transformed into a villain.
