Why is clear considered a color?

By whom is clear considered a colour?

If you're talking about paints or something, and one of them just dries to make a transparent protective coating without any pigment, what else are you going to call it? You might call it "None", but that doesn't really seem right, and it could be confused with white.

It's "Clear", because that's an accurate description of the final result, not because "Clear" is a colour.

well, i never get descripted as having "blue eyes", i always get "clear eyes" (which is actually really frustrating especially when i'm wearing something blue that is supposed to bring out the blue of my eyes but they just look greener)

and people have "clear" skin

but somehow it's nowhere to be found in a color index.

in my opinion, clear is to colors like mcdonalds is to food, it's just a half-assed, lazy excuse for something else.

I was not aware that is was considered a color. I don't get it either, I also don't understand why white is a color either.

It is not considered a color i do not know where you heard that from. It has no pigment in it. No Color

The reason maybe because it turns yellow golden,Most clear I painted with does anyway.If anyone knows a way to keep it from yellowing please post it.
