How much will it cost for a mechanic to install a new clutch for a 1995 Ford Escort Lx

they charge by the hour and that takes about 7 hour`s so it will be about 6 to 800 dollars`s

I am my own mechanic. I drive a 95 Escort LX. My clutch kit was $125. from Auto Zone. I installed it myself.
I wouldn't do it for less than $300 labor plus parts and possible machine work.
Mine has been a great little car. I have 265,000 miles on it now with no serious problems. the clutch was out when I bought the car

Multiply shops labor rate X labor time shown and add clutch disc price as shown in link.
