I'm pretty sure you're talking about Esplanade in Singapore since MRT was mentioned?

It's pretty safe as the place is pretty well lit up and at 11ish.. there's still plentiful people around.

Nearest MRT will be Cityhall station and I suppose you can't miss it from Esplanade.

Just take note of the last train that leaves Cityhall as depending on how close your "11ish" is to midnight.. :)

Safety is probably not as much a concern for you then the last train leaving Cityhall. ;)

Enjoy your dinner yeah!

Singapore is one of safest City in the world and generally safe at night. Many restuarants in Marina Square opposite Esplanade opens till the wee hours of the morning. The
MRT nearest is City Hall and you can use the underpass from Marina Square/Esplanade.

It's a great place for dinner at late evening. Cosy and windy environment, sure to increase your appetite. It's almost 99% per cent safe even till 12 mid night before the late train. The nearest MRT is City Hall MRT station, just across the under pass. We will probably see a group of youth practising street dance while walking along the under pass. The only thing you need to worry is don't miss the last train.

OK you are definitely talking about Singapore. I am not sure if the shops are still open after eleven, usually the restaurants have their last orders between 9 - 10pm.
Nearest MRT is City Hall MRT, with an undereground passage linking to Esplande. This is Singapore you're talking about. It's safe. You can go out after midnight, it will still be safe.
There's another MRT station, opposite One Fullerton, which is Raffles Place MRT. But City Hall is defintely nearer.

This is a pretty safe neighborhood, when leaving esplanade walk along front st to Union Station, safest route. If you end up staying late, all the staff at Bier Market, spag fac and Fionn McCools are pretty cool, I bet somone would walk with you, Good Times there on the weekend. Check out Jamie Kennedy on Church for good Tapas!

ok i just went esplanade last nite.

IF i am not wrong, restaurants close before 11pm. I was there to eat at the open air hawker centre (Glutton's Bay) and its open till at least 1am. alot of good food there and there are many choices!!! (a little expensive for hawker food though)

but if u really want fine dining, i doubt esplanade is the place.

In fact i had bad experience at one of the restaurant there. Aria - if i remember the name correctly. what happened was, I was having drinks with my buds and we were the last customers. At first the manager approach us to hint that they were closed for the day. After 5 mins, he approached again and said "I am sorry sir but you really have to make a move because I have to catch the last train"

...Wat the....

It was about 11.30pm.

Next to Aria, Harry's, is a nice place though =] but i think it closes by 11pm.

I doubt you can hitch the last train if u leave esplanade after 1130pm though... If you drive, its cheaper to park at the basement carpark($1 per entry on weekday nights) as compared to parking next to Glutton's Bay ($0.80 per half hour). There's a taxi stand at esplanade by the way.

Are you sure public transportation runs that late? Might be better to call a taxi. Of course, if you extra careful and don't mind night drving, and always carry your cell phones with you, you could drive home. It's safe to eat on Espalanade then, depending on what restrauant you choose- not as many good people out that late.

I was wondering also where do you come from and if you can afford to eat at the esplanade, you can decently afford the taxi service. (Taxi is also a public transport)
