Photos? Unity candle? Guest book? etc...
Did you take it or give it to your ex or throw them away?
And who wanted the divorce, in relation to who wanted to keep the stuff?

I kept everything. He decided he was "confused" and after a while I asked him for a divorce. The album, photos, guest book, champagne glasses, the wedding dress, etc. are in a plastic storage bin and, when my child is old enough, I'll give it to her for whatever she wants to do with it.

My wife after 22 years sent me a dear john letter from Afgahnistan where she met an Army reservist who was marrried with 3 daughters (my wife and I have 5 children) said she didn't love me anymore that she was going to make sure he left his wife so they could be together. She said she didn't want the kids but would ask the courts for shared custody 5% of the time to lower child support unless I was willing to waive. I didn't want the divorce but she wanted to live in this house pay nothing and be free to fly back and forth from W virginia where he lived until he could divorce and come to California. Now they are both in Iraq, before she left I filed for divorce although I tried reconciling for the last two years. Finally I said F this and shredded every photo of her and I (not the ones with the kids) but everything else. We were together since our junior year in high school. So all the prom pictures, school functions, marriage photos, vacations, pictures to each other from school, everything. Then I sent Two flat rate postal boxes full of shredded pictures to her in Iraq. She has talked to me since contacting my lawyer about it.
She never said she wanted them.... and I sure as hell didn't.

I kept the wedding album, only because my mom made it for me and she spent a lot of time and money on it. Everything else I threw away. Oh, and I was the one who wanted the divorce.

I made the decision on the divorce. He didnt believe in fidelity. As for any marriage items. I made albums for my adult children, and included bits n pieces of the wedding album in their individual albums. I also passed down my wedding band, engagement ring, and his wedding band, which he didnt wear. I can deny him as a worthless mate. But he remains their (worthless) father.
