Try getting a massage or sit in an infared sauna the heat will penetrate 2-3 inches into the tissue safely. See how you feel after your desired treatment and then go from there if you are still feeling pain get a second opinion

Find another doctor. The thing about pain is that it is not something that anyone you can feel, so doctors sometimes will say you are making it up (the bad doctors that is). I once went in for foot pain, and my doctor told me I was making it up to get out of gym class. I got a second opinion and found out I actually had a rare joint/bone disease that if not treated quickly would lead to rheumitoid arthritis.
Moral of the story is don't take chances with your health, because at the end of the day you are probably the only person really looking out for it.

If you don't feel better go back to the doctor. All doctors do is look for the simplest answer to your symptoms until you give them a trigger word which to them identifies and pinpoints your problem. Also, x-rays, CT-scans, and MRI's are all up to interpretation. Which means a different physician looking at the same test may have an entirely different diagnosis. Don't give up your not crazy.

try motrin or naproxin, also do 20 minutes on/ off heat packs, if an xray was negative it's muscular and there's not much more you can do. If you had problems with your brain you wouldn't be able to type your question :)...you'd have many more issues than you described

Try a chiropractor they work wonders on getting you back in shape. If it is just a pulled muscle take some Advil and give it some time to heal.

chiropractor... they arent cheap but they'll do a spine and neck xray thing and crack ya back, sounds maybe silly and i dont go to one but i did a while ago and they'll be able to show you the special scan thing and check you out. keep an eye out in ya local papers, chiro's are always advertising for free or real cheap checks, doesnt mean you have to keep using them but its worth a go. all the best

Have you thought about going to a chiropractor. Your neck may be out of alignment & creating pain, light headedness. headaches. A couple of adjustments and you'll be as good as new if that's what it is.
