Is it your marriage or your career. Your children or your faith or what is it?

This is an excellent question. Ask a dozen people what success is to them and you'll likely get a dozen different answers. A person can have success on many different levels as opposed to "either" marriage "or" career; how about both!
For me personally, success is doing the type of work I have a passion for (therapist/counselor), enjoying the company of my 3 daughters, excellent health, and the income to do the things I want to do.

Success is both good and bad think about it. When you die that determines success. Its a shame though but think about it a second. The things you do and people you help or what you stand for that is part of good success, you could also put your marriage . Bad success sounds awful but its really having what you got get out of control like if you have alot of money and it tears your family apart or if you have a great job and you travel all the time , never see your family and it falls apart those are examples of how success can be bad . So think of what you are doing for others and how you are helping them and that if you put others first in your like, you will then have good success. You will be truly happy when you do that. Think about it there are people who have all money can buy but are still unhappy, they still have problems so there has to be something else that makes us content and then we know that we have made a difference and then we feel successful.

Success for me is being to do in my life what I want to do when I want to do it. It doesn't mean I have to have alot of money, just enough to be comfortable , pay my bills , being able to entertain my friends and family. It also means having integrity, being honest and trustworthy, caring about my fellow human being no matter where they are from, living in a country where I know if I'm ill there will be some kind of health care for me to rely on .

Success is being happy for someone else's success other than mine. Success is not having to look down my nose at someone who I regard as inferior to make myself feel superior. Success is being able to help when help is needed, having a healthy positive self-esteem so that I'm not considered arrogant or an isolationist.
