On the sims?

how do you make bands on the sims 2 or sims 2 nightlife or sims 2 open for buisness like the one is this video also where do you get the hair

To create a band you first buy several musical instruments in buy mode (your choice of instruments) then set them up right next to each other, note I've noticed that if you set up the drum set in the middle of 2 other instruments no Sims can get to them unless there's room to walk behind all of the instruments so I usually set the drums up on the end of the row. The instruments are all approx 4 squares each and I usually set them up so that their squares line up.

Once you have them set up you select your Sim to "perform" on one of them and then with the performing Sim still selected as your active Sim you click on others you want in your band and choose "ask to join". They'll automatically go to whichever instrument they want and begin jamming with you. Do select them one at a time and wait until one has started playing before selecting the next so you don't have them trying to all go to the same instrument at the same time.

For your own preference you might want to select Sims to play in your band that you know have decent creativity skills otherwise your band might not sound so hot & you might get some negative crowd reaction. ;-)

Otherwise if you want a certain look you can always set up the instruments in whatever way you prefer and perform with only sims you control (nice way to ensure that their creativity skills are up to snuff too).

As for the hair there's tons of sites out there that have custom hair. You might want to start with the bbs on the official Sims2 site. The site has links to a lot of their fan sites and is sortable by "free" "pay" style objects, etc... If you want to nail down where it came from you might try posting a request the bbs on the Sims2 site as well. Most everyone there is quite knowledgable about where certain custom objects/hair/etc.. have come from.

The maker of this video simply bought a bass guitar, normal guitar and a drum kit. Then they got 3 people to use them while the fourth sim is just freestyling. You get that option if you click on the sim you have selected. I didn't listen to the actual music because it said Avril Lavigne but I'm sure they just added that music to the video.
There are lots of places you can download hair, try xmsims.com or peggysims.com or the simsresource.com. There are literally hundreds of websites out there where talented creators share their creations for free.

If you search around the internet, there are programs where you can make cusom hair/clothing/ ect. I'm not sure of a site atm because I haven't done this in a longg time.

I've read somewhere that you can make a band when you have the University expansion pack, but I don't have that one so I haven't tried it.
