My boyfriend got kicked in his lower lip. And its not swollen or anything but its like broken skin.... and from what hes beent elling me it hurts really bad... tried teh ice thign but it just hurts him more.... please help!!! concerned girlfriend!!

its not on his outer lip... **** on the inner bottom lip.... it appears to me that when he did get kicked it happened to hit his teeth... and cut his inner lip.... im not sure if that made sense....

It needs to be cleaned out properly and assessed by a doctor -- especially if he's not tolerating ice. Go to an emergency room to have it cleaned out and maybe even stitched up. The ER doctor may even prescribe some temporary pain medication.
So who kicked him in the lip?

If he doesn't have a) time b) money or c) doesnt want to go to the emergency room , then the best option would be to use butterfly bandages, small white strip bandadelike bandages, and to place them over the broken skin. Work a lot like stitches.

Just stop bleeding and apply ice. If it is larger than just a centimeter go to the ER.
Take steps to see that this does not happen again. Like talk to the police or he needs to behave.

nothing you can do but make sure his lip is moist .. otherwise if his lip dries out it will keep cracking and bleeding. that's about it if you think its too big to heal on it's own and it's real bad go to the hospital and have it stitched

If you believe real doctors are on here answering your medical questions for free then you probably believe if you call those chatlines the girl who answers the phone is the same girl they show on the commercial.
