my favorite is "Where Did We Go Right?" sung with the beautiful June Carter Cash. It was one of their favorites, also.

Why? Because it's a beautiful love song and the lyrics ring so true with Johnny and June.

"In a world, where everybody's falling apart
One by one, heart by heart
You and I, stay together and we never even try"

etc.

San Quentin - Because he realy relates to the way the prisoners must feel about the place that they are in. Having done some time myself, I can understand what he is feeling in his song.
Then again there are many great Cash songs!
