No I'm not. But one of my ex-girlfriends was and the first thing she tried to make was a scarf for me. It was pretty small and thin and hardly usable but I remember watching her knit it. It took her forever to do it because it was her first one. However I adored it because she put her heart into it and I know she really tried hard. I really don't think I myself would have the patience to knit something. After watching her do it I know it takes a loooong time and I now know it is not easy to knit well. At least it gave me a new appreciating to people who knit.
Oh and now I realized that in our house my grandmother knitted a few things like pillow cases and large blankets. I think its amazing how she could knit such a huge blanket and its done so well. I appreciate it a lot more now.
