He wants to terminate his rights, both he and his mom wanted me to terminate and as they said "get rid of this kid"! He also had a party at our house where I found a bunch of stuff including condoms, candy thongs, booze we don't drink! I am hurt beyond belief! I am 22 also and I am giving my baby every chance. The thing is he makes a good living! Any advice please?! I am scared out of my mind because this is my first pregnancy!

If he does terminate his rights, does he still have to pay child support? What would you do in this sitiuation?

I totally know what your going through. I was 15 with i had my daughter. The father was 19. He wanted me to get an abortion, and that's one of the last conversations i had with him. My daughter is 7 now and i have talked to him maybe 10 times since i told him i was preg. There's nothing much you can do, but take him to court, make him pay child support, and be the best mother to that child that you can, because you have to play mother and father. It will be hard, believe me! But you don't need him. You don't have to have a father there to be a great mother. Trust me!
Good luck to you, and keep your head up. Don't let him keep you down.

I had a boyfriend that said the baby was not his. He left us high and dry. I just said 'goodbye'. I raise my kid with no child support or time off.. not a weekend, not an evening. I like it that way. If I made him pay, then I would be inviting conflict and his anger into my life. We have less money, but we are happy and have peace. I did it. People don't understand.. they think that I SHOULD go for money. I think they should butt out. I perfer peace over money any day. Besides, she doesn't need some 'dad' hanging around, breaking promises 'to get his money's worth'. I was 23 when that happened. I am now 31 and got left again!!! This baby I am also just going to do it on my own. It is not so scary with number two, because I have already proved that I can do it. Good luck girl... enjoy the baby... also realize that you are pregnant and hormonal.. that can make your fears much worse. When you hold that little one.. the world seems right.

Is this "man" your baby's father? If he is, then take him to court and get him to pay child support. Try to get full custody of the child. That shouldnt be too hard if he wants nothing to do with the baby anyway. If he wants visitation rights, explain his actions to the court and make the visits supervised. If he's not your baby's father, tell him to grow up and start acting like a father. He's going to be a father whether he likes it or not and he should start acting like one. And find another roommate ASAP.

This guy is a major creep!!!!!!! My ex hubby did the a similar thing to me when I was 6 months pregers with our son. We have a daughter who was 2 at the time also. He has not been in their lives for 3 years and things couldn't be better for all of us. Maybe it will be for you too. There are plenty of good guys out there who would be happy to have you and your child in their lives. Just keep your head up!

make sure he gets tested for paternity and get a court order to make him financially support the baby. after that is done with, find a real man who will be a good role model and father to the baby. it's not the baby's fault it's father is a deadbeat little boy who doesn't want to grow up and take responsibility for his life. don't say anything to him....just file child support papers...you can file before the baby is even born...

Make that loser pay child support! I also have a chat with his mother to see what she thinks of him running out on his child. She should knock some sense in him about taking responsible ( you have sex you deal with the out come)

Take him to court and get child support, all you can. My two kids deadbeat donor thought if he terminated his rights that he wouldn't have to pay child support but he was told yes you will have to pay.

If he's that immature you wouldn't want him to raise your child anyways.... It is hard to raise a child by yourself, but women do it all the time..... Good luck, and don't give up, watching your child grow is well worth the struggle.

kick him to the curb, change the locks, and go on with life. it is harder done then said, cuz i've been there, if that person stays around all that will be done is someone getting hurt. i was a single parent for 5 years and i found someone who accepted me for who i am with my baby boy in toll and now i have a bigger family with a husband who would love to be mr. mom. good luck with whatever that person decides.

tell him to abort himself and to take his mother with him.
