Two completely different wrestlers.

The Shiek wrestled primarily in the 60's and 70's, but debuted in 1949, and was the uncle to Sabu. He never wrestled in WWF.

The Iron Shiek wrestled in the 80's/early 90's.

The Original Shiek was a fighter and a Manager. He was from Detroit. The Iron Sheik was a wrestler and actually from Iran or Iraq. Not sure which one. BTW that mickchick831 sure is one hot broad.

The Sheik (also called the Original Sheik) started his pro wrestling career LONG before the Iron Sheik did. Another difference is the Iron Sheik is ACTUALLY an Arab. An Olympic hero in Iran and former bodyguard for the Shah, he left Iran long before the Shah fled and ended up coaching college wrestling before going pro. The Sheik was an American that had a long career and was "infamous" for stabbing his opponents in the head with a PENCIL! ( I kid you not look it up) He ended up managing then training two of the most "extreme" wrestlers in history....Sabu his nephew and Rob Szatcowski also known as :::thumbs::: ROB VAN DAM.
