the last week ive been having all the normal pregnancy symptons, except i just got my period today but its worse, heavier and more painful then its ever been, can you still have your period and still be pregnant.

Yes you could be pregnant but your symptoms are more along the line of an early stage miscarriage. The heavier than usual bleeding and cramping are real signs of a possible miscarriage since it's possible that you are just into a early pregnancy some women don't even notice the loss which is common 25% of beginning pregnancies end in loss.

I would talk to your doctor. I thought I was having a period once but it turns out it was a miscarriage.
