The interesting thing about Gonzelez' aide pleadingthe fith is this: up to now, while there are serious questions about the ethical questions surround the firings of the federal prosecutors, there's been nothing about criminal wrongdoing.

But (notwhithstanding the aid has every right to pelad the fifth in a criminal matter) WHY would this be necessary? In other words-does this issue goe deeper--to illegal actions? If so, we're in for a really interesting scandal. If not, why take the fifth in the first place?

I just read an article that the attorney general feels he doesn't need to leave his current position because he thinks he's making a difference. And that bothers me, because is the same stuff I was expose to when I was in the service. Leaders who buck the system at the expense of others and leaders who betrayed their commission to protect their position. Leaders that thought having authority was more important than obeying the law. Leaders that sat around morning to noon doing nothing and making personal appearances outside their place of duty to look sharp and spiffy for the brass. Well, real leaders shouldn't do that and don't need to do that. Real leaders make time for others and spend time setting the example. Real leaders dont sit around pointing fingers at faults or expressing disappointment with " I thought " verbiage. Real leaders change situations, solve problems, find solutions, create and develop, galvinizing creativity and buffers complaints. Real leaders work at the ground level, always assisting, and always on duty. Real leaders find nothing more gratifying than to be the smallest shoulder in the group and the tallest elbow by saying "job well done". Real leaders forsake themselves for the better of others Real leaders don't pledge an oath to a scroll or an office built of marble. Real leaders get their authority straight from GOD. So I don't judge to be judge, but run or hide from impunity regardless of the situation will no matter be uncover. And those who intentionally and willfully break the law deserve to be accused. And those who reprentsent clients that plead the fifth are just as wrong as whom they represent. Real leaders don't need to plead the fifth because they are honest and have the courage to always tell the truth and nothing but the truth so help them GOD.

Great question. And I couldnt agree more. "When will it begin to matter to the Citizens of the United States"? Why bother people ask? It's our constitutional right thats why. Why do we pay an income tax when 90% + of the people that work in any of the 50 union states do not earn an income? Because most people are to ignorant and or lazy to read, learn or care about their constitutional rights. Most people consider themselves employees as well however for the most part "only" persons elected or "appointed" to a government position are "legally" employees or earn an "Income". By definition of law most persons earn a compensation for their labour. Not an income and not as an employee.
It's our constitution people, we should demand that our constitutional rights be upheld. Taught in its "legal" entirety in our schools instead of just brushing over it real quick to pass a student. look how screwed up our constitutional rights are now because those before us said and did nothing. How bad will it be for our children if we dont stand up for our constitutional rights now and teach our children to do the same for themselves and the future generations of children?

The fifth is intended so that you don't divulge information that would incriminate yourself. However pleading the fifth pretty much says you are guilty.

She has a perfect right not to incriminate herself. She can be granted immunity, and then she is compelled to testify. Should be real interesting.
