I think the end of the world is working 10 to 12 hours a day, taking most of your work home, either physically or mentally, ignoring your wife/husband and kids, not to mention all the dreams you've put on hold to sustain a lifestyle that isn't providing the happiness it was intended to provide, feeling useless as you watch thousands of people dying from either hunger, poverty, or greedy political or religious leaders that create ficticious wars to lower the population, sitting back and watching how we humans have destroyed the delicate balance of nature in raised sea levels, severe climate changes, and depletion of natural resources, and watching the next generation trying to come to terms with what we've left of the world for them. That's pretty much how I see the end of the world, and if you don't see it, the end is nearer than we think!

I don't think God will end the world--espicially to punish us for our flagrant debauchery. Earth will either meet her end by humankind's own hand or by random (chaos theory) 'chance' by unstoppable natural disaster, like say.....oh....maybe a meteor / asteroid.
Inept US world leadership and emerging extreme weather occurances aside, I carry faith we'll recognize and fix what needs doing. Soon, we'll elect a president of realistic mindset and I forsee some whiz-bang advances in eco-science that will protect us from Mother Nature--someone we better learn real fast how to fight back and win!
I think we'll have some really scary close calls, but the world's end won't be forseen for several hundred or so years from now.

If you want me to be sincere, frankly I don't think the world itself will end, until the sun burns out all its Hydrogen and it becomes a black hole or something. I guess that when this happens, as the sun will burn all its hydrogen in the core, it will began to burn the outside H, thus growing in size and incinerating all the planets nearby, perhaps this includes earth itself.
Still, I believe that humanity will have ceased to exist as we know it by then, either by migrating to other planets as we have already screwed up this one almost beyond repair; or it will be over, simply, extinct, due to natural causes or the consequences of our reckless meddling with the conditions of life.
In both cases, I believe humanity won't be around to witness it...

Very painful for those that do not go when the rapture comes, but at least, they will get a second chance - the decision lies with them on whether or not they take the choices offered. The book of Revelation sums it all up. May God Bless You!!

Check out Revelations in the Bible. The whole story is there. Only God knows when this world will end.

I don't know, but if one reads the book of Revelation, you can get a picture, it is very hard to understand.. but it is written if one reads it, they will get more understanding.
I hope I get taken up before all hell breaks loose.
