A toothbrush, a rag, paper towels, and some rubbing alcohol.
Wet the rag with water so that it's damp and clean the controller as best you can. Dry it. Take the toothbrush, dip it in the alcohol so that it's damp (not dripping) and scrub in the cracks along the edges of the controller where the backplate and faceplate align, along the buttons, around the d-pad, analog sticks, etc. Dry it. Let it sit for 30 mins before using it again. If you don't, some liquid might have seeped in and when you turn on the system electricity will hit the water and short circuit the whole damn thing. =/ Not cool.
