OK, so I have 2 hard drives, a master, and a slave.
I want to stop transfering files to my master, and send them to the slave, but how do I do that, THANKS!

to use your D:/ drive (slave) all you have to do is

Installing programs onto d:/ is tell the install program where you want to install it

so lets say you have a program called jack rabbit
you start to install it,... it then says it is going to install it on c:/programs/jackrabbit... but you don't want it there, you would click on browse click on d:/ make a new folder called jackrabbit and click ok. it will install it there,,,

Master and slave drives are old terms.. master is your Local C drive, generally your CD is D drive, then on from there. You can send files to any drive by saving a file to that drive when the program asks where you want to send it. You can generally Browse for where on your computer you want to send files. You can also copy, (send) files from one drive to another, you can back-up your MyDocuments files by dragging them to your other drive. Its an easy way to back-up stuff you don't want to lose.
If you want your other drive to be the Master drive, you would have to change it to Master, and put an operating system on it.. Windows.. being your computer is always looking for the Master.. (Local C drive) for what it needs to start up.
