My husband goes to sleep watching ESPN. I wake up in the morning, turn on the television and the television has been on ESPN. I don't mind him watching it for highlights, but we have like 3 or 4 different ESPN's and he watches all of them. I wouldn't mind him watching all the ESPN, but most of what is on the shows is repetitive and I would like for us to do more couple activities. If you have had this problem, what are some of the things you have done to "wean" him from ESPN? If you haven't had the same problems, what are your suggestions? (I have tried so hard to get into watching ESPN with him, but I can't stand to hear or see the same game highlight 3 to 4 times in an hour.)

LOL I was the one trying to snatch the remote to see ESPN. All my ex wanted to do was watch stupid movies. You can have HIM if you want him.
Coming from a female sports fan. It probably won't change. If you walk in front of the TV naked and he doesn't budge. You need to look more deeply into the details of your relationship. The only thing that could tear me away from the baseball/football/basketball game is a stiffie in a pair of boxers. If I don't turn off the game for that, there is a serious problem in the relationship.

Its ALL my husband watches. When he first wakes up, the TV goes on to ESPN or Comcast Sportsnet. All day long too. Its horrible and I cant stand it. I love sports too, and go to the games but lol, hes a fanatic. Addicted I shall say. When he goes to work I can finally watch TV in the living room, but when hes home, and I want to watch TV, I'm usually in the bedroom or cleaning. Its just not the TV either, hes on ESPN on the computer as well. I'm sorry to say I cant help, b/c Ive tried for 6 years to wean him away from this. Nothing worked and nothing will work. Just the way he is, so I learn to deal with it. At least now I know my husband isn't the only one out there like this whos wife is annoyed with it. :-)

We drink beer and watch ESPN as a way to try and forget all the great sex we used to have. No, I'm not kidding. Really. First we fill our mind with useless sports facts that give us something to think about other than sex gone by, and then we cloud it all over with beer.
That should give you an idea of what "couples activity" you can use to "wean him off ESPN."

Yep. That is my hubby (although he does not watch in the morning). He will watch any sports channel available. He also plays sports all day because he is a high school coach (basketball, baseball, soccer, golf). Throw on something sheer, or possibly nothing at all and stand in front of the television. If he still wants to watch TV - I don't know what to tell you.

You ought to notice that you're the man or woman who eventually stole her "Knight in Shining Armor" . The guy that when stole her middle. The father of her kids The guy who she depended on, lived with and shared valued mystery with. She does not hate you for who you're, alternatively, she hates whom you constitute. Ok, considering she is No danger to you, I could start by way of writing her a be aware (or electronic mail) and browse it over cautiously then re-write it till it says the proper factor. Take time composing it and decide on your phrases cautiously. Any mis-spoken phrases can be used in opposition to you at a later time. Share what is to your middle & brain at the side of your long term desire of setting up a "spirit of cooperation" for each person worried chiefly the kids. She will first of all be surprised with receiving this be aware and each phrase (within the be aware) shall be scrutinized. I feel that after the surprise wears off, she shall be intrigued. The idea that she mattered to you adequate, that you just wrote to her shall be fascinating. She will realize for special, that the ball is in her court docket. That she has a lot more to reap (and also you much less to reap) by way of her approaching board. Initially, she might nonetheless no longer "such as you" however she's going to recognize you. Ultimately, she's going to tone down her act. She will make herself be "greatly high-quality" while you are round. That will turn out to be the opening to a stroll down the hill. Good success to you!
