To become a Psychiatrist you should focus on a university that offers pre-med/pre-health assistance. Many people who want to be doctors choose a science major. After you graduate with your bachelor's degree you will need to attend medical school. Medical school takes four years. After medical school you need to complete a 3-4 year residency program in Psychiatry.
