Like, how much do you spend per year? I know it's possible to live comfortably with $10,000 a year. Has anyone spent less than that?

Try living on less than $300 a month for food because you have had to face all kinds of corruption, bad luck, and various other things! Trust me, when you do not even have enough money to spend on entertainment, like movies, going out to restaurants, and other things that most other people do, and you make your own wine, and you still have difficulty, you learn the definition of frugal really fast!

I've known people who didn't have to pay for rent or a mortgage and didn't have a car who lived on less than 10 grand. Most people have both and 10 large won't cut it. The important thing is to live below your means no matter what the
amount. That's frugality.

When I was young and saving for a downpayment on a house, it would take me 6 months to save up to go out for a pizza.

When I bought my first house, I stopped all unnecessary spending and Paid that house off in 4 years.

Now I am rich and can buy anything I want, any time I want to.
But mostly I don't want to.

Sure. But then, I don't have to pay rent. If I had rent and utility bills, I'd probably be under a bridge or eating at a soup kitchen.
