Its easy if ur just talking about just offense, or just pitching, but how can u combine them to make the final rankings? Is there some sort of formula to figure out if a certain pitcher is of more use to a team than a certain batter, and vice versa? Ive just been kind of curious. Thanx

It's about as easy to figure out as the college football BCS rankings. It takes into account past performance and trends. I think it averages over 3 years with a heavier weight taking the most recent year into account. But that will also create some inaccurate rankings like Liriano is listed at 238 even though he won't pitch for another year and next year he will be ranked way down even though teams may take him early. The computer creates a ranking based on the value to a fantasy team. If you look at hitters, there may be numbers missing - Like you will see them in order of 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 - then if you look at pitchers in order you will see numbers like 4, 5, 12. It is based on overall value in a standard league.
