My pet peeve is the little tricycle motors on my street expect you to weave all around them and the nets and the little #&#s just keep right on playing. Another option, what we used to like to do, is go to the tennis courts and play there (helped keep th ball in as compared to chasing it a mile up the road) although nowadays around where I live, they have actual outdoor ball hockey rinks.
