it appears to be coming from under the floor, like the glue has changed color. is there anything i can do? thank you

Any chance there is a water leak somewhere, and the soaked flooring under the vinyl has damaged the vinyl??????
Happened in our bathroom........discolored the surface of the vinyl flooring. Maybe have a GOOD SEARCH for a water leak????? Can you see the subflooring from the basement?????.......any hint of water staining in that area???

I had two kitchen rugs that turned my vinyl green it has finally faded out, but nothing I tried took it out. Just time..

area rugs with rubber backing will discolor vinyl. check out the web and i am pretty sure u will find there isnt much u can do other than cut out stained section.

I guess if it doesnt wash off ....you can put laminate or Pergo floor right on top of that floor so there is no demo involved...........
