there are 4 chamber of the heart in this arrangement:
Right Atrium Left Atrium
Right Ventricle Left Ventricle

oxygen-poor blood RETURNS FROM THE BODY, flows through the superior and inferior vena cava (major veins), and flows into the RIGHT ATRIUM of the heart, the receiving chamber for oxygen-poor blood.

the blood then flows into the RIGHT VENTRICLE of the heart, which pumps the blood TO THE LUNGS, where the blood becomes reoxygenated.

from the lungs, the now oxygen-rich blood returns to the heart, into the LEFT ATRIUM, the receiving chamber for oxygen-rich blood.

from the left atrium the blood flows into the LEFT VENTRICLE, which pumps the oxygen-rich blood TO all parts of THE BODY by the aorta (major artery), to provide oxygen to the body.

Blood from the body enters the right side of the heart via the superior and inferior vena cava. It first enters the right atria then is pushed with the second heart beat into the right ventrical through the tricsupid vavle. then with the first heart beat leaves the heart through the pulmonary artery into the lungs where it gets O2. Then goes back to the heart via the pulmonary vein to the left atria, with the second heart beat leaves the atria through the mitral valve into the left ventricle and with the first heart beat leaves the heart via the aorta branching off into the body. from the arteries it branches off into smaller and smaller vessels until it reaches capillaries where diffusion takes place and O2 and waste materials and traded off and the blood returns to the heart via the veins. boy i hope i got that right!
