Ok to take Hoodia with BCP?

My girlfriend is currently taking this weight control pill called Hoodia. However, she is unsure whether or not it interferes or has any effects with her current Birth Control Pills (Alesse). Information on the internet indicates that there should be no effects, however, we are looking for a 2nd opinion. Does anyone know if this Hoodia has any effects on BCPs?

In the past when I was trying not to get pregnant I did both and it worked for me. BCP from my understanding tricks the body into thinking that its already pregnant. I don't see how weight control pills could affect that. Maybe you should ask her why she has doubts, as in if she feels she is showing signs of being pregnant and if she is taking her pills at the right times. At any rate if you feel uncomfortable with just relying on the pills you can always use multiple forms of protection.
