I hate to have to say this again. Knock it off with the gender wars. There's enough accusations, resentments, and anger already. All these demagogues preaching more resentment just so they can sell one more book or get another tour on the talk circuit is getting really tiresome. There are good things and bad things about being a man and being a woman. To one, the grass is always greener on the other side. I'll throw out one more cliche: you haven't walked a mile in their shoes and they have not walked a mile in yours. Just because a lot has been written about women's plight, women's rights, women's movements and all the lamentations about what women doesn't have, doesn't mean men have it all. A lot of their grievances have yet to be written. You know all the inequalities and prejudices against women already. For a moment, set aside the resentment and really try to put yourself in a man's place in the world and see it from his eyes. It will be very difficult. Not only do you not really know what it's like to live the world with a penis between your legs, it's hard to even imagine. You will find it very difficult to know and understand what goes on deep in his head and heart. Why? Men don't talk! How would you really know prejudices and resentments men have when they don't say it. Very little has been written about it compared to the volumes written about women. At least women have it written over and over. So before you go lamenting that they have it all, consider for a moment that women may actually know very little about what men think, feels, their fears, their concerns, etc. Women now finally have opportunities to break out of the traditional gender role. Can you really say the same opportunity has dawned on men to break out of theirs? Or does society still peg them in the traditional gender role? You think that's fair?

Really, are you really complaining about pain? Would you really rather not be able to give birth? To bathe in the glow of motherhood? To be pregnant and grow a life? Would you care to poll the enlightened men how many of them wish they could?

We need men and men need women. This world would really suck if men went away. This world would really suck if women went away. Instead of bitching at each other, why don't we just try to be partners, recognize that each other add something we lack individually, and make the best of it?

you have a point there... both of us has a responsibility... men can't bare children... we got all the pains... but aren't you glad you gave life to a baby? it's just about looking inthe brighter side of life.

women havent come as far as we think we have and I HATE IT=we should be treated equally for what we do well
if you are talking about health and body sizes men get away with any old look while woman are looked down on if they dont keep themselves proper looking

we fight and die in wars and build houses and mine coal... it's not all rice and pudding on our end either. Somebody has to do the dirty work as far as menstruating and giving birth, and that's what mother nature designed women to do. She designed us for other things and they're not all gravy.
