I'm wondering i'm 14 and my best friend and i are having plans to go out in my fort in the woods and masturbate. Is that being gay?

Not at all. At the age of 14, I wouldn't worry about it too much - the odds are that you'll have lots of odd and random experiences as you explore your sexuality. Supposedly, it's actually a common phenomenon among teenaged boys in boarding schools. (Wiki "group masturbation" if you'd like somebody more professional-sounding than me to set your mind at ease.)
Just keep in mind that, should you decide ultimately that you are gay, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. (and ignore the homophobes, they're being ignorant.)
But as somebody else said: make sure you're in the all-clear as far as vermin and nasty plants go. This has nothing to do with sex, but when I was sixteen I was a camp counselor, and we stopped to have lunch in the woods while on a hike . . . like an idiot I walked straight through a patch of poison ivy while looking for firewood . . . and then used bare hands to take my shoes and socks off! You definitely don't want bites or poison oak/ivy/sumac lesions on your private areas. And do ensure the parental units are not going to come looking for you . . . that's never fun.

Naw, it can only be gay if you want it to be gay. Most boys experiment with sex, its curiosity or it could mean more, duno?
Ive done it, which means they have done it too, so you are not alone. Boy sex in groups is also a common practice.
If you do more so what, you have the right to find out about yourself, its your body, its your mind, everybody should know themselves.
What you are going to do is harmless fun with your best friend.
Enjoy it, get excited, squirt your stuff with your friend, if you both like it & you do more, thats harmless too.
You need to know yourself inside, its probably the only way to find out. Even if you do more that dont mean your gay either, just horny & growing up.

You are 14 and exploring your sexuality. You want and need your privacy. Make sure you lock the door. Having your parents walk in on you will screw up your head big time.
This behavior is not homosexual in nature unless you are turned on by someone of the same sex. Be careful about poison ivy!!!!
