Because she chooses to exercise her rights under the 5th amendment of the Constitution in no way is an implication of her guilt. She is following the advice of her legal council. Probably knowing that if she did testify, no matter what she does say, with all the blood in the water on the 'Hill', her career would be over.

I have left my crystal ball at the office. I'm guessing the 5th is the 5th. It's our American right to plead, and the prosecution cannot make anything of it.

Pleading the fifth is good if one is guilty or can shed light on wrong doing by their bosses. I wonder what Monica Goodling has to hide. Obviously there must be something.
