disappointed in myself to have too high expectations of someone else. I'm a dreamer though. it's tough to keep in check.

I think being disappointed with someone else is worse then being disappointed with yourself, because you can change yourself but you can't change other people. And it hurts when others disappoint you. Right now, one of my friends has been letting me down and it's hard, I've tried talking to her but she wont listen to what I'm trying to say.

disappointed with yourself because you have not reached the standards you wanted to keep and you let yourself down and as the saying goes disappoinment begets disappointments and the more angry your are with yourself , the harder it becomes to climb that mountain back from the bottom;
It is a good thing to aim for high standards as long as they are not totally impossible that is. They give a sense of urgency and put a fire in yourself. When you start to try to reach a goal and aim to be better at whatever your dream is set in and lose the fire..you disappoint yourself and it is hard to get back the sense "I can do it" but one can try many times of course...some people are defeated over and over and some do not give up. People are psychologically built differently.

At the end of the day..who is the best person to rely on ?? you of course. You are accountable for your own actions and should live life to your standards..Easier than said because most people strive on pleasing people or have obligations towards others.

Only yourself can try to change your state of mind, mood and reevaluate yourself. In the best of the world, you know yourself best..knowcan't "change" another person nor be totally in their shoes so their priorities, motivations might always delude you or let you down.

We are not born alike psychologically speaking.

Sure..have been disappointed with people...but you got to get over it and know as many people and get as many experiences as you can so...you don't end up blaming yourself and take full responsibility for another human being's ways or different psychological way of thinking.

People will always end up disappointed each other anyway..either on a small or grand scale. We are not built from the same block.

But disappointing ourselves is also acknowledging that we are human, frailties and all..difficult but a good achievement in life to reach whatever goal - within limits- we have for ourselves.

We can be our worse enemies at times but hopefully learn by our mistakes.....!!!

No one is perfect though and everyone should accept their own limitations, be at ease with them ..and accept others' too.

Can't change the others ...that must come from themselves to change...so being disappointed with others is futile...

I can control myself much better...so if this don't go well because of my short comings....I am responsible for my own actions...not others !!

This would disappoint me more !!

I know myself and I know I can disppoint myself sometimes. When you really trust someone not to disappoint you, and he/she does, I think it's worse.
