I dont know much about the guy, but it does seem to be odd to have a conference in the middle of the day to announce something personal about his wife. I hope his wife gets well.

Yes, he is but only bcause he is known for runing with Kerry. He isn't a very popular politician unlike Clinton and Obama so any free time he can get in front of T.V. crews is good. I hope his wife gets well too.

Why do people feel the need to judge the way the Edwards family is dealing with their tragedy? Having just suffered a cancer in my family in December, I've learned to recognize the sick or dying person has a right to live their life any way they choose. It's not the husband's choice, nor the public's. She has made it very clear she wants her husband to run. That's her choice. It's her diversion and she's convinced he'll make a good president whether anyone else does or not. There are very few decisions in life that are more personal.

Absolutely! He knew that he needed to do something to raise his poll standing, so he and Elizabeth decided to have cancer cells implanted in her bones, just so he could get some sympathy votes. I know this is true, because the ghost of Abraham Lincoln appeared at the foot of my bed last night, and told me so. Last week, I was visited by aliens from the planet Doomar, and they said that we better not vote one of the Democrats into the presidency, otherwise they will attack Earth, and enslave us. For all who are skeptical of what I say, I just want you to know I listen to Rush Limbaugh everyday. Rush knows all!

They announced right after he lost the election last year that his wife had cancer. The fact that it has recurred will probably help him, but gosh, I hope that thought hasn't entered his mind.

This man and his wife have several children. And they are small. The proper thing to do is to spend the next several years with the young children so they can get to know the love of their mother and father. Not run for president.

No,i don't think he's using his wife for political points. As you can see on t.v. she has lost weight and is coming to terms that she will die, soon.I think that she is a very strong women to face this cancer and still go on with life and not let cancer change her life. Some people think she should sit and wait for the cancer,i feel she is doing the best she can.God Bless her and i will pray for her and her family.
