FDR and Truman refused to race to Berlin even though they knew what was instore for the German daughters, sisters, and moms at the hands of the Russians.

Is that a sick legacy of a sick party?

FDR was dead, please post links and stop blabbering such nonsense. Why did GOP allow Mark Foley to continue to have interns even thought they knew he was a pedophile?

You asked this before and I answered this before, but once again in other words: It is absurd that you blame the Democrates for this, really absurd. You know it happened not only in Berlin, it happened in all the areas of Germany that got under Soviet control, and Americans could not tell the Red Army what to do or not, and the Soviet Union was not so weak, you know the Cold War started directly after WW2 and Americans certainly didn't like it that the USSR was powerful too, but you see it was totally impossible that Americans would have defeated the USSR or World War II would have continued and it would not have been a Cold War but a real war.

American and British troops were told to stop and to let the Russians take Berlin. I do not think this plan originated in either the White house or Downing street. More than likely it originated at a meeting between Stalin Churchill and Roosevelt at Yalta or Teheran. I was in Europe at the time but my infantry division was south of Berlin and we finished up in Austria on May 8th. I remember hearing something about it. I do agree on one thing though. It was sick if it was planned that way.

As much as I despise FDR and Truman, I believe it was Eisenhower who held back our army and let the USSR take Berlin. In case you are not familiar with it, Ike willingly participated in Operation Keelhaul, the forced repatriation of former Soviet nationals, at the behest of Stalin. Eisenhower was a typical politician, even then.

We went from a LTC who had never commanded troops in combat, to General of the Army in two years. Anything to advance his career.

At that time the Russians were allies. Forget WWII! Germany's current prisons and political system are slowly reverting to the 1937 of Hitler! Prisons are segregated into one side for Christians and Jews. The other side for Muslims. If that is not bad enough, parents who home school ther children are subject to fines and imprisonment as the children are "property of the state for the good of the state". Kids are returned if parents agree to send their children to state mandated schools.
