Well, the children in primary schools study the basics of sciences, maths, geography, history, Arabic language,English language, arts & religion.
there are 2 types of education in Egypt:
1) Governmental Schools: all the subjects except english ofcourse are teached in arabic.
2) Private Schools: all the subjects except arabic & religion are teached in foreign language, most of the school prefers english language, while other use french or even german language.

Nothing much needs to be added to Sulto's answer.
Well put and succinct.
I would only add, there is a great need for more schools and an upgrading of those that do exist. In some rural areas families find even basic education too much strain on the family budget.
So we thank God for young women like those in elBariat on the west bank of Luxor. On their own intuitive they have set up free schools with the help of cash and material aid given by impressed tourists ,local business's and others.
If these schools did not exist these kids would have to remain working on the families small land holding,so missing out on an adequate education.
Something to awful to contemplate in this day and age,but a sad reality.

There are several great schools here in Egypt. The kids here go to school like anywhere else. I find the education system better here than what my kids were getting in the US.

not fairly. each and every time however happens in my daughter's college and he or she or he comes living and tell me approximately it, the academics or whomever she stated might have already carried out some factor approximately it. especially, they deliver the toddler to the counselor who might then call each and each mum and dad. apart from, in the event that they experience that she replaced into injured, they might grant me a acceptance and provide a proof for what befell, what steps they took to substantiate that it does not ensue lower back, and advise me to hold an eye fixed on her. to your case the instructor replaced into out of line. regrettably some teachers wreck out with doing it so in many cases, it particularly is like 2d nature to them. additionally, in case you're actually not waiting to paintings this out with the instructor and intensely probable the different teenager's mum and dad, i'm hoping you have a basic who cares.
