My husband & I just started TTC, I stopped the pill at the end of Feb & had a period then. It's now 2 days before my next period is due & I took a First Response pregnancy test. Within about 2 minutes I looked at the test, saw a very pink test line & a very faint pinkish pregnant line. I've taken test before trying to become pregnant & I've never had ANYTHING where the 2nd line should be. So, of course, I'm excited. Well, we both are.
Question is, how excited am I allowed to get? Should I wait a few days & test again or go ahead & contact my doctor? It could be a week or so at least until I can get into my doctor but I don't want to seem like I'm just getting too excited too early. Obviously, I'm very new to this whole thing. Thanks in advance.

i say make an appointment so you have the appointment made AND also take another test in a few days. I've known a few people who have had really faint lines and were pregnant. Hopefully for you too. Good Luck!

Progesterone climbs as you near ovulation, and I believe progesterone is what pregnancy tests measure (the level stays high through pregnancy), but please someon correct me if I'm wrong. However, I also know some pregnacy tests are made to be used before you're due for your period, and honestly it's a little early for progesterone to be high enough for a pregnancy test if it's because of imoending ovulation.
So all in all - I say congrats! I've heard these tests are very reliable. I would call your doctor to schedule an appointment - if it'll be a week before you can get in, you can test again in a few days to reassure yourself. Also, since you're due for youe period in 2 days, you can always wait and see if it ever comes.

I wouldn't get very excited at all. Of course that's wonderful, but the thing ab out being able to find out so early that you're pregnant also gets you excited before nature gets a chance to take it's course. I just miscarried within the first month... so, things can happen. but i'd wait until you miss your period... then take one the day of, possibly a couple days after to be sure.

It doesn't matter what the lines look like. Usually if they are there at all that means you are pregnant. Congrats if it is positive. I would get a digital test. The lines stressed me out bad!

well usually if it was an evaporation line it wouldnt have any color to it, so it sounds like you are :) but just to make sure take another test in 2 days, the hcg doubles! and then see if you get a more clear result!...goodluck and i hope u get the answer your looking for :) but yes it does sound like you are!

retest with a different brand using your first morning urine wait a t least 2 day's to allow your pregnany hormones to build up if you get the samr results then definatly you are,but for now concider yourself prego congrats

take another test...and then make an apoinment to see ur dr... wait till u take another test befor u get to excited...best of luck!!!:)
