The 90's were heavily influenced by all the new technology that flourished. Computers became more mainstream, which led to lots of changes in the way we live, the way we do business, and the way we communicate.

Even music was influenced by technology. New Wave music is testament to that. Art in general was as well.

The transition from the 19th to the 20th century featured great advances in technology and the rise of new world powers.
