The SEC is continuing to grow stronger as the list of national championship coaches has grown by two more, Nick Saban and the newly crowned Urban Meyer. Expect Florida or Auburn to be strong, but if they dont have a 1 or no loss season, then they wont have a chance, and the likelyhood that they someone will accomplish this is slim considering how hard the SEC is. The Heisman is definately going to McFadden, he is amazing. As far as the best team, thats though, but Southern Cal, Texas, Michigan, and Florida are all major candidates simply because of recruiting in the last couple of years. My suprise team, the South Carolina Gamecocks! If they can win one or two of their tough road games then they could make things pretty interesting in the SEC east. Plus Spurrier is easily one of the best coaches in the game and will always give them an edge mentally in the east.

Best Team- Florida- amazing recruiting class coming in; lots, of guys coming back with experience; USC- great recruits and lots of returning talent; Michigan- Henne and Hart a great one-two punch; Lloyd Carr has to have a huge season and Michigan could be a surprise top team
Heisman- Brian Brohm (Louisville)- excellent quarterback, big season last year; Steve Slaton (West Virginia)- explosive playmaker; Darren McFadden (Arkansas)- huge sophomore season, comes back even more experienced; Colt Brennan (Hawaii)- monster numbers last season, product of a throwing system
**Others- Hart, Henne (Michigan); Pat White (West Virginia)
Surprise Team- Ohio State- People expect Ohio State not to suck, but no one really considers them one of the main contenders; however, with guys like DL Vernon Gholston, LB Laurinaitis, and RB Chris Wells coming back, they have playmakers on both sides of the ball. Look for Tressel to have the Bucks ready to go come opening day.
**Other- Hawaii- Brennan can carry this team.

Louisville was a second chance field goal away from being in the NC last year and return most of the offense and a key portion of the defense this year. I'm not sure if he can win it, but Brian Brohm has to be one of the front runners for the Heisman. NFL scouts said he would have been the first QB taken this year if he had decided to come out early. Louisville's schedule sets them up for an undefeated season, look out!

Best team: University of Southern California. Heisman - John David Booty So many starters back from last year and super recruiting class the last two years. Excellent running backs in new comers. Receivers will not be as good as last year but will be close. Notre Dame will be worse this year and Weis will bail out for the pros. Florida will win the SEC and LSU and Auburn will be right there. Big 10 (11) will be Wisconsin and maybe Penn State. Michigan was exposed in the Rose Bowl as big and slow. Ohio State will contend.

Best team has to be USC. they are stacked with talent and have greta coaching.

Heisman. My finalists would be Colt Brennan,Darren McFadden and J.D. Booty. McFadden wins a close one with Colt coming in second.

Surprise Team : Hawaii they will earn a BCS bowl bid

it's looking like we're not going to have nearly as exciting a season as we did last year, there are about five teams that look like they are capable of dominating, and then there is a pretty significant drop-off

i think the best team for sure is usc, they return key players at every position except wide receiver, and even then they only had two losses last year

there are a number of good heisman candidates, including darren mcfadden of arkansas, patrick white and steve slaton of wvu, john david booty of usc, brian brohm of louisville, and percy harvin of florida...a couple sleepers to look for are ray rice of rutgers and tim tebow of florida, if you can really call him a sleeper, as well as colt brennan of hawaii, athough he can't possibly rate to match his numbers from last year

surprise teams are hard to determine before we know everything about a team, but i like hawaii as the mid-major sleeper

1) USC
2) Michigan
3) LSU
4) Arkansas
5) Florida

Heisman contenders: John David Booty (USC), Darren McFadden (Arkansas), Colt Brennan (Hawaii). Chad Henne (Michigan), Mike Hart (Michigan), Brian Brohm (Louisville)

Whoever said Brohm would have been the #1 QB in this years draft is obviously ignorant and has no clue what he is talking about. Yes, Brohm is good, but Russell and Quinn are way better. WOW THATS FUNNY!

USC is definitely the team to beat. I think that my Cal Bears will surprise a lot of people and they will be a top 10 team, but I'm not sure they can beat USC.
