Well, theyre those guys know their stuff, but an Angels vs Dodgers World Series will not happen. I hope the Indians take the Division, because they very well could. The Indians are my favorite team besides the Sox, and I just root for whoever has the better playoff chances at the time. I think it would be really tough to win that division, and with the Tigers, Twins, and Sox all trying for one possibly 2 playoff spots, watch out. Thats the Division of the Year, again, without a doubt.

Sounds like something SI would come up with. Their history of prognostication isn't very impressive. The Twinkies should win that division. The Angels and Dodgers in the Series? I think they need a LONG rest. Neither team will even be in the playoffs. The only other thing crazier than that would be the Rockies and Royals in the Series.

I dont think so.
They were 8-11 vs the twins last year and 6-13 vs the tigers. Both of those teams were in the playoffs last year. they had better success vs the white sox winning 11 of 19, but chicago will proably be a good team next year as well. They have been saying that its the Indians year now for like 2 years and they have yet to prove themselves. After finishing 4th out of 5 teams last year i dont think that they can rise to the top in the toughest division in baseball.

But after saying all that the twins did rise from the dead in June and won the division on the last day of the season. Proving anything can happen i guess.

Go twins

NO!!!!!!!!

The Cleveland Indians will ABSOLUTELY NOT win their division this year, no way.

As talented as they might be, (C.C. Sabathia is the only player that comes to mind at this point, sorry if that offends anyone) This division is very tight for the Indians to contend with.

2nd place, at best, but sorry i don't see a wild card birth this year.

MY predicted order of finish for A.L. Central 2007 is:

1. Minnesota.
2. Cleveland
3. Detroit
4. Chicago white Sox
5. Kansas City.

Angels beating the Dodgers, huh...well, i say it's going to be:

Twins over the San Francisco Giants or the Houston Astros.

Let's Go Twins.

(Yes, i agree, Sports illustrated is insane in the brain, man)

Who cares what the experts pick! In 2005, the crew at Baseball Tonight, in talking about the AL Central, did not even mention that name White Sox. Not even a reference!! And they won it all.
Last year, a major online publication said that the first round would include Cleveland vs. Chicago. That could not happen - do division games in the first round.
My point - everybody is an expert. Who cares, Just cheer your team and ignore the experts.

yes they can win the division, in what has become the best division in baseball. But it will be a struggle with the other three top teams, sorry K.C.. As far the Angels and Dodgers in the fall classic...ugh sorry..no way Jose lol.

Sports Illustrated aside, the Indians do have a competitive team. However, whether they can outlast the Tigers and the White Sox is questionable. Hope they can, though.

Chow!!

I believe the cleveland indians will have a similar year that detroit had last year. They are young, and after last seasons performance, they have something to prove.. Detroit and Cleveland are the teams to watch in the central!

Detroit will win division due to pitching. As for SI, you can always write to the editor......

The indians are amazing and all they have to do is make some pickups in the off season. They will do fine.
