Hi, I am looking at different doctors for a cosmetic procedure and I wanted to check their malpractice history. I want to know if they have ever been accused of malpractice in their career? How do I do this and is it free? Thanks!!!

You can check your state's medical board.
You can also check your County Clerk's Offices
Interview the doctor
Ask for references from clients.
Also ask if he/she practiced medicine in any other state. Then check the state medical boards there.
Also ask if there have been any suits filed. The doctors office should be able to provide that information upon request
You can try this site

This other site provides information from its 18 member states on doctors

Go to Google

Plug in the phrase medical board california

(substitute the name of your state if you do not live in California)

I haven't checked out the other 49 states, but the Medical Board of California has a page where you can plug in your doctor's license number and find out whether his license is current, whether he has lost any malpractice judgments, etc.

That was a good tip. Also, contact your local court system. Court records are public documents, viewable by anyone. If the doctor has been practicing in the same area for a while, and has had any court cases, they'll have those records.

Go to your state's judicial website and you'll get everything--including a speeding ticket. Kinda scary. Anyway, I can't tell you the web site for your state, because I don't know where you live, but its usually www.arizonastatejudiciary or www.washingstonstatecourts.com--something like that. Go to "case look-up" and type in his name. It's that simple in my state and pretty easy in the other states I've checked.
