The difference between liberals and conservatives?

Question

Conservatives believe in individual freedom.

Liberals believe in social equality.

Isn't that what it comes down to?

But it was liberals who decided that I wasn't allowed to say Merry Christmas in public school.

Imagine four mice and a giant pile of cheese.

Conservative: This is my cheese and I'm not sharing. You have to work for yours.

Neoconservative: This is my cheese, I'm not sharing, and I'm hiring a cat to eat the rest of you.

Moderate: There's more than enough cheese to go around. When it runs out, just find or make more.

Liberal: We need to establish rules and the Cheese Administration Agency to properly divide all this cheese. We'll regulate it so no one can take more than their fair share.

How about this example: I have a car, a car I need to get to work. When my car breaks down, I'll take the bus. If there was no bus, I'd carpool with a friend. If I had no friends, I would call a cab. No money for a cab; I'd ride my bike. No bike, I'd walk. And seeing as how my job is 7 miles from my house, and would take 2 1/2 hours to walk there, I'd set my alarm extra early.

Conservatives are all about jacking up the price of gas for my car. They would take away college funding to train more mechanics. They are not into supporting public transportation or the bike trails.

Liberals would stop at "You mean I have no car! It's so unfair!"

You can thank the liberals political correct machine for not allowing you to say merry x-mas. Just like at my workplace, we were forced to take down the x-mas lights because it might offend someone!! The way I see it, this is our country, founded on christian beliefs, in our culture we celebrate x-mas; and if you don't like it, leave, we didn't make you come here!

Liberals want to keep people (the poor) dependent on the gov. with welfare, universal health care and public housing! Which in turn raises everyones taxes to pay for lazy people! They also think that if you earn a lot of money, but don't need it; while joe schmoe over there can't keep a job but needs help with his rent and health care, that you should pay for him with the extra hard earned money you have! Big government!

Conservatives believe that if you earn it then you keep it! Want lower taxes, which sparks people to spend more money, which creates more capital income and creates more jobs!! Making the economy better! One of the big issues I disagree with cons on is their attempt to censor TVs language and content, the Internet, and to bring religion into a lot of things like extra marital affairs and sex. Less government!

Liberals believe in hurting the poor most of all. They encourage high taxes and huge govt that depresses business and reduces jobs for the poor. The hope for the poor is to get a job where they can learn skills to serve other and increase their incomes, but liberals want them to become victims and rely on the govt. Do you think the govt does a good job of caring for those in need, as in Katrina? Not really. Big govt takes from people and hurts the poor most all. But the Republicans increased discretionary spending by 40% over the last 12 years, so they too are liberal. We really don't have any conseratives left in govt.

Conservatives have confidence in the strengths of persons, not feeding the weaknesses. Conservatives have confidence in classic kinfolk values. Conservatives have morals, and a feeling of basic decency. great question, action picture star time!

They have become the same on the issue of Illegal Immigration. Why are churches giving them assylum? They are not running from anyone trying to kill them. They are harmng American citizens and government on neither side of the isle is doing anything to Protect Americans!
