Halliburton sees the writing on the wall. They know that soon they will become targets of Congress and will be challenged on every decision they make regarding US government contracts. This is a way they can move to another country and try to seek some kind barrier between them and any legal proceedings or unwanted attention. Also, they will be able to tell the rest of the world that they are no longer associated as closely with the US government as before and they hope this will open the door to be able to do business with other countries that do not like the US.
It's funny that one of the US's greatest companies that the Republican party hailed as patriots for sending their people into Iraq to rebuild now are running from us. I guess Democrats aren't the only cut-and-run strategists.

Sickening aren't they, like a hugh giant bloated rat, covered in blood, deserting a sinking ship. They know after the 08 election, the Democrats will own Washington, and their theivery will come to light, so they moved off shore to protect the piles of blood soaked money they have stolen from the tax coffers under the guise of troop funding.
I hope the vampire Cheney and his puppet Bush enjoy the destruction they have caused in the U.S., lets hope who ever replaces these two has a clue how to clean up the mess the neo-con's have made.

Why do you think its wrong for a company that specializes in massive civil projects to move its headquarters(which btw is only about 10% of its workforce) to a country that has so much capital they are building multi billion dollar man made islands in different shapes to develop commercial and residential areas. Seems like pretty good business to me.

No matter how much profit Halliburton makes, to them,
it's not enough. They can perform their shadiness in
Dubai tax free.
They could care less about the jobs & taxes that will leave
the United States when they go.
It would be lovely if Cheney went with them.

Halliburton is a publicly traded Delaware registered corporation. It won't avoid one red cent in taxes by the move. A publicly traded corporation only has one allegiance, and that is to its shareholders. If I owned HAL and discovered the Directors DIDN'T take advantage of a move that could save them millions, I would feel they were in violation of their fiduciary responsibilities. I don't invest to adopt oil workers, I invest to turn a profit.

I'd like to know where in the Constitution that the government tells business where they can keep their headquarters.
You cried how evil they were when they were in the US, now you are crying that they left
