Eagles get Spikes and Kelly Holcomb for Darwin Walker and a 2008 draft pick. Like the move, dislike the move..? Personally I think it's a risky move by the Eagles but one that makes sense nonetheless, they got almost no production out of the linebacking corps last season, and Walker is too old to be dominant anymore, and he never really was in the first place. Thoughts?

There is no doubt that the Eagles came out on top with their most recent trade for TKO....not only did the man carry the Bills D on his back up until his achilles injury in 05, but he returned to play knowing that the organization had begun trade talks since the day he was carted off the field. Andy Reid has made a career out of turning no name backers into productive and sometimes game changing players. Just imagine how wild his imagination will get with a player of Spikes ability. Not only will Takeo join a group of proven playoff contenders....he will have a thing or two to show the Eagles D about stopping the run and creating turnovers.
Mark my words...the Bills will not only regret this ridiculous trade, but by 08, they won't even remember the name of the DT they aquired for him...I know I won't. Perhaps they'll get lucky and put the draft pick to use in finding a replacement for Spikes.....doubt it.
Here's to extending the playoff dryspell for the Buffalo Bills!!

Walker was a bum, Bunkley and Patterson are great, plus Darren Howard and Jevon Kearse outside... GREAT D-line, the linebacking corps needed help, Jeremiah Trotter, great, Dhani Jones, good but really high emotions, pumps the team up, Takeo Spikes I think is a lil overrated, he is always getting hurt, BUT he is better than Shawn Barber, I would be more worried about finding replacements for Brian Dawkins when he leaves and Michael Lewis, Sean Considine is ok, maybe he'll develop...

I think it is a good trade for the Eagles. The have Mike Patterson and Broderick Bunckley, both first round picks. This gives them the opportunity to step up and Spikes can only help them. The Bills are going a little trade crazy though. I understand shipping McGahee out, he was trouble. But Spikes is one of their best players. Not to mention they already lost a linebacker, London Fletcher- Baker, this off season.

i like the trade for philly, they get a productive linebacker in spikes and another backup QB in kelly holcomb in case the a. j. feeley project doesn't work out...walker was just another defensive lineman on that team and was losing a lot of playing time to trent cole and juqua thomas

The Eagles got two mediocre players that the Bills would've cut if they couldn't be dealt. The Bills got a decent DT and a pick next year. There's no winner or loser here folks....

darwin walker wasn't losing time to trent cole and juqua thomas. darwin is a DT and they are DE. takeo spikes was an elite lb at one point but who knows what he is now. hopefully he'll be good because lb is our biggest weakness. darwin walker was ok and we have enough depth at DT that him leaving wont' matter.

I agree neepo... you forgot to mention the bills already lost Nate Clements to SF, one of the best CB in football.
