C Greg Oden from Ohio State is the presumed no.1 pick if he chooses to enter the draft. Kevin Durant from Texas also had an amazing freshman year and showed more offensive prowess to his game, but Oden is generally seen as having more potential to dominate the league. Oden is a 7 footer who is NBA ready defensively. He averaged 3.5 blocks per game in limited minutes as a freshman at Ohio St.. He didn't score nearly as much as Kevin Durant this year, but it usually takes big men longer to mature offensively. No lottery team wants to be the one to pass on the next great center. Trust in history, when a dominant center is available he is almost always made the number 1 pick. Hakeem Olajuwon was drafted number 1 over Michael Jordan (who was drafted 3rd by Chicago after Portland took Sam Bouie :P). Oden is no. 1.

Everyone is going to say the big 2: Greg Oden and Kevin Durant. Though they are underclassman and while we all believe they will come out, they may not.
If we look at the Final Four there are a ton of guys that could be a huge impact.
Florida has a few guys that will have some impact: Al Horford, and Joakim Noah, and Corey Brewer.
Ohio State has Oden and Freshman Mike Conley Jr. who is only a freshman and may come back.
Georgetown has the two bigs Jeff Green and 7 footer Roy Hibbert.
UCLA has Arron Afflalo the Pac 10 Player of the Year.
Another guy to watch and start looking for is Yi Jianlian. He's a 7 footer out of China and has the comparisons of Yao.
I'm sure there will be quite a few of the kids from Carolina coming out, Tyler Hansrough, David Wright, Reyshawn Terry.
The difference is making an impact in College vs. the NBA. You have to seperate the two. Oden and Durent are at the top of the class, but there are always foreign players we've never heard of that get some buzz and lottery spots. Look for Yi to get a lot of talk along with the Florida boys.
This year really is all about the big guys. Taurean Green will get some publicity because his dad played inthe NBA and he's a Florida Gator, but as stated before good college player and good NBA player are two different things. Just look at Christian Laettner and Sam Bowie.

The talk is between 2 freshmans.
Kevin Durant and Greg Oden.
I'm gonna have to say the #1 prospect is Greg Oden, simply because he's a 7 footer and plays the center position. There is no other position more coveted by NBA teams than the center position and that gives him the edge over Durant. Still, Oden himself is very athletic, has great size, is a rebounding machine, and his potential is skyreaching.

It is going to be Greg Oden. Kevin Durant is awesome, but the NBA Teams are starting to figure out how to defend against players like Durant, since there are so many like him. A dominant center, however, is one of the hardest players to defend. Since they are so big, they are impossible to stop. They are proven winners. High scorers will win you games, but there is nothing better than Dominant center because they will not only score big, play defense, and rebound like mad, but they will win you Championships, not just one, many. Look at all the teams that have won NBA Championships in the past 8 years. The Spurs with Tim Duncan, the Lakers with Shaq, the Pistons with Ben Wallace, and the Heat with Shaq. Yeah, Greg Oden is #1.

Derrick Rose is a element shelter from chicago who's taking part in at Memphis next season. If he is going for the draft (which he probable will) he's projected to be type one million. Beasley #2, Batum #3 and OJ Mayo is projected #4.
