Hey, changing the oil on my girl's car tonight - need to know the location of the oil filter on her 2003 cavalier, automatic tranny, regular 2.2 Liter engine.

i own a shop,and look on the back side near the firewall ,you have to do this one from under neath of it but its easy to get to once its up in the air,or on a pair of car ramps,they work the best for this,good luck,i hope this helps.

I believe this is the ecotech? I don't own one but I'm a tech. who occasionally works on chevys and I think its one of the cars where you can't see the filter, I believe you need a special socket to take a cover off? If not it should be easily visible from underneath.

I believe they are on the passenger side of the engine near the back. Get a light and look closely, usually under a plastic cover near the drive shaft.

if its a spin on its on the backside pass. cart. filter is a top driver

my girls got the same car. u have to get under it to get to it. its about where the front axle is at about the middle.
