Because of bad decisions prior to the marriage the bondage of child support strips monetary funds away from the new family and causes strife. Children are worth every cent they cost.

Thats an easy statement to make, but think for a moment.
In many cases, one partner may not have wanted a kid, but was tricked into it or simply disregarded. So they feel used enough already.
If a child has a parent whom dies, becomes unemployed, becomes disabled, they pay the price right along with everyone else in the household. So divorce is not different.
If one parent just decides they dont wish to be married anymore, they have decided that the other has nothing to say in the deal. So why should the one who wants to be in charge, not have to pay for that right? I mean, if you wish to end a marriage without the other wishing to do so, are you not in effect making the one who doesnt want it pay for your decision to screw them over plus messing them over as well?
Why should a person have to pay without actually having a full accounting of every nickel of the money. Plus think about it. How often have you seen that money used for other things?
This issue is a matter of tugging heart strings as much as anything else. Plus to be honest, if many parents knew that they would not get a check, it just might influence them to work on things instead of pissing it away. Plus, if there were more costs for doing wrong, there just might not be as much wrong done.
Not all who think child support is unfair are just being selfish or mean. It oftens just means they see no reason to be charged for the right to be abused or screwed over.
That give you a few things to think about rather then cute little buzz words and slogans?
Remember, not all that is done in the name of compassion is really compassionate. Not all that is done in the name of God is Godly.

You are totally right, but it is to make them just as "responsible" for this child(ren) as you are. In the long run, it will pay off. Just let the court system take care of the dynamics. I made an xbf pay for the past 14 years without raising it for the fact of our relationship. He sees that it is not about the money, but for the concept of raising the child. You can say that you will put it in a savings account if that will satisfy the other parent. The do get more expensive the older they get and you will be happy that you made them be responsible also. EXCLUDE this advise if it is a domestic or abusive situation. Get a judgement against them if it is.

I'd like to say that it is because it costs alot to raise a child and the custodial parent pays for the majority of care and the other parent should pay whatever the court has decides. When parents fight it is the child who suffers and I'm sure that is not their intent. There is often left over anger and this seems to be one of the most often fought over.

I think a lot of parents see it as a weapon or tool to continue the fighting that drove them apart in the first place, completely forgetting that the money is intended for the child's welfare, clothing, food, education etc. Both parties lose sight of what it really is, it becomes something it is not. It is very sad when this happens.

They fight because one doesn't want to pay or one thinks that what is being paid isn't enough. Yes, a child is worth more than a $10 bill, and that's why the support needs to be fair and reasonable enough to support the child.

Adoption in some international locations (And in fostering interior the U. S. too) is approximately finding households for babies. i recognize in my teenagers case relatives maintenance became the objective for months earlier we become her father and mom. Their Nmother knew she could no longer improve her baby and did no longer prefer foster look after them. So she chosen adoption and then us. Then we've been contacted. We did no longer see a image till whilst we agreed to the situations of the adoption. I are available in the process a great style of people who do no longer quite have a clue approximately adoption. And open adoption is remarkable to maximum because of the fact its purely new. Public preparation is needed, no longer purely on the stable factors however the no longer so stable too.

no one gets 'tricked' into becomeing a parent... they know what sex can result in.
because there are two kinds of parents;
1) those who love and take interest in their child
2) those who view their children as a burden
men play the 'victim boy' story, women want their children to be provided for.
because some use the excuse that they dont know where the money is going to... so they are not paying, when its so obvious (all of the bills).
because some claim they cant afford the support, yet go and make more babies.
today, child support is based upon BOTH parents incomes, thus both parents contribute to the support of the child. the state and federal government are TIRED of parents who dont pay for their children, so they passed stronger laws.
in any case, its not the child(ren)s fault.

Because many times it's not about supporting a child. The fathers I know are more than willing to support their child. They simply don't want to give the money to an unfaithful ex-wife who has already demonstrated she is not trustworthy by cheating, and using marital assets prior to the divorce to fund her affair.
Please, don't confuse reluctance to give an ex-wife control over funds with unwillingness to support a child. The two are completely separate issues.

I agree.. It reminds me about how in our country, many families fight over who has to take care of elderly parents. While in some asian countries the siblings fight about who GETS the privlidge of taking care of their elderly parents.
