theres nothin to it, materazzi trashed talked, zidane got mad, previously hurt his arm, wanted to hit him, and the only thing he cud think of was his head. i dont think zidane was an idiot becuz he did it. i hear so much sh*t about him, but the truth is, if zidane punched for no reason i wud be pissed. but this was the WORLD CUP and tensions were running higgh and italy had a dozen of divers on ther side and it LOOKED like zidane hit him pretty hard, but he DIDNT

Look the bottom line is this.. Its not the first time that Zidane the idiot has done that head butt routine....Its the second or third time...No matter what went on between him and Matarazzi, he should not have reacted that way...If he is such a top class player, he would have had more self control...So lets stop praising a loser. Zidane, just went to show the world and his fans that he was a little baby....Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me....He should have learnt that....

First off, Italy is a diving team. Then there is the fact that Zidane knew it was his last game and how many people have talked about him since that game?? A lot. I personally think he did it the way he did for the publicity. The Italian player was talking trash so he deserved it. From what I saw it looked like the ref didnt see what happened and saw it on a replay.

Zidane is awesome, probably the best thing to come out of france since democracy and really thin pancakes. It's funny because that Italian guy clutched his ankle like all soccer players are trained to do when they get hit and want to make it look like it was hard. Hello buddy, he hit your chest! Zidane shouldn't take any ****, i heard that guy called his mother a terrorist!

It's a shame that he would end his footbal career like that. I thought he would end it by playing his best and show some skills... But, no. He ended up headbutting Materazzi and got a red card for it. It serves him for his lack of judgment.
