whats a good way to start a persuasive essay??

my topic is to ban smoking in Indiana restaurants. I was thinking about asking a question to start it?? Not sure, completely stuck

A story, very short. Like about a bad situation from smoke in a restaurant. An anecdote is interesting and can draw a reader in through similar personal experience.

Statistics are always a fun way to start things as long as your english teacher isnt completley insane and against any forms of numbers or math.
